Take milk in a deep bowl and heat it on low flame. While the milk reaches a boil, add corn flour to extra milk and mix well. When milk comes to a boil add oats and mix well. Add raisins to the milk mixture, mix and cook for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes when oats are soft add corn flour & milk mixture. Stir the milk mixture well so that there are no lumps. Cook till slightly thick. Remove from flame and allow it to cool down to room temperature. Keep the milk mixture base in a refrigerator and chill it.

Wash mangoes, peel their skins and cut them into small pieces. Wash and cut the apple into small pieces after removing the seeds. Wash the pomegranate and separate the seeds. Chop the dates into small pieces. Also chop the cashew nuts into small pieces.

Take a mixing bowl and add mango pieces, apple pieces, pomegranate seeds, chopped dates and chopped cashew nuts. Mix all well. Remove the milk mixture base from fridge and mix well with spoon to separate the raisins. Add this milk base to the mixed fruits and mix well. Serve chilled in individual bowls.

    Points to Observe:

In this dessert we are using oats which are rich in fiber and good for diabetics. Similarly Mangoes, Pomegranate, Dates are also rich in fiber. We get natural nutrients from the fruits used in this recipe. Oats when cooked in milk and cooled absorbs the milk and the milk mixture becomes thick. So use only required quantity of corn flour to thicken the milk.

Use ripe fruits for better sweetness.

We have not used any sugar in this recipe. The natural sweetness of this dessert is obtained from the fruits used. If the fruits are not ripe or sweet add a table spoon of date syrup.

Serve chilled and enjoy the natural sweet fruit dessert with all your family members.

    Enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
