This is a Text Recipe, not a Video. Due to commitments on home front and paucity of time it is becoming difficult to make videos of all known recipes. If I have to make a video only before I’m to share these recipes, it is likely to take considerable time. Meanwhile there is also an urge to share these recipes for the benefit of my viewers. These recipes are prepared, perfected and tasted at home. Hence they too carry the same commitment and conviction as in videos, while I share them with you. Recipe Text

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • Bananas – 2 (Peeled & Sliced – 200gms)

  • Oats – 1/2Cup (40gms)

  • Chilled Curd – 1Cup (300gms)

  • Flax Seeds – 2Tbsps

  • Honey – 2Tbsps

  • Ice Cubes – 4 To 5

(Online Conversion utility to convert Gms to Cups & Temperatures etc)

Method:

Take a mixie jar and add oats and flax seeds and grind to a smooth powder. Take a blender and add powdered oats mixture, curd, banana pieces, ice cubes and honey. Blend the ingredients to form a smooth mixture. Transfer the smoothie to serving glasses and serve immediately.

Points To Observe:

When one feels lazy to prepare breakfast, this smoothie is a healthy and easy option to make and serve.

Generally we cook oats and add bananas and milk and serve it hot. Instead of milk add curd and make smoothie and serve chilled in hot summer days.

Honey is a healthier option to sweeten the smoothie. However, if wished, sugar may be replaced.

Serve the smoothie as soon as you make it or else it thickens.

Oats, bananas, curd when combined and made into a smoothie is a sumptuous drink and hence can easily be substituted for a heavy breakfast or can be replaced to have as a light lunch.
